Drops
After being defeated, Yama will teleport back to his throne and snap his fingers, after which the rewards will be dropped in front of him. Drops are rolled for until the roll results in a success:
- If a player deals less than 375 damage (15%), roll the junk drop table.
- Otherwise, roll 1/120 for the unique drop table (scales with contribution).
- If successful, roll 3/5 for a piece of oathplate armour and 2/5 for the soulflame horn.
- If unsuccessful, roll 1/12 for the dossier (scales with contribution).
- If unsuccessful, roll 1/30 for the forgotten lockbox.
- If unsuccessful, roll 1/15 for 12 oathplate shards (quantity scales with contribution).
- If unsuccessful, the standard table is rolled.
- Roll again for tertiary drops: 1/2,500 for Yami and 1/66 for an elite clue.
This assumes the player is fighting Yama without using a contract, barring the Contract of familiar acquisition. If the player fights and defeats Yama with any other contract, the normal drop table is disabled.
Contribution
The drop rates and quantities listed below assume Yama is killed by one player.
With two players, the quantities of regular items and drop rates of some unique items scale linearly, proportional to damage dealt by a given player, similarly to the Royal Titans. For example, a player who deals 1,000 damage to Yama, or 40% of his health, is eligible to receive 16,000 fire runes, 40% of the maximum.
If one player dies during a duo encounter, their contribution is not redistributed to the surviving player.
Unique
For solo kills, there is a 1/120 (0.83%) chance to receive either a piece of oathplate armour or a soulflame horn.

Oathplate armour Vs Torva Compartison
Oathplate armour is ideal against enemies with high Defence that are susceptible to slash attacks, as it improves the accuracy of slash-based weapons (such as the Scythe of Vitur, Soulreaper axe, noxious halberd, and blade of Saeldor). Against enemies with lower Defence, Torva armour may provide better damage.
Compared to Torva armour, Oathplate’s main differences are added offensive slash bonus, but less strength bonus and no prayer bonus. It also penalizes magic attack slightly less, while also providing stronger slash and magic defence. However, it has less stab, crush and ranged defence, and a stronger penalty to ranged attack.
The armour’s strength bonus is on par with Bandos armour and a Neitiznot faceguard.
Unlike Inquisitor’s armour, which has a passive effect, Oathplate does not have any known passive effect.
