Setup 1
Pre-scouted (One player should take a Bandos godsword instead of Dragon warhammer and Avernic defender)
Normals – Mind/Mist/Wrath (also brings Harmonised nightmare staff and Tome of fire instead of Sanguinesti staff + Arcane spirit shield) or
Ancients – Water/Blood/Death or
Lunar – Death/Earth/Astral or
Lunar – Water/Fire/Astral (no prep alt)
Setup 2
Prep / Bow alt
Lunar – Water/Lava/Astral
Requirements: Dream mentor, 68 Magic, 78 or 90 herblore, 70+ farming, 70+ combat stats.
Extra items:
● Tekton – Scythe of Vitur → Inquisitor’s mace (+ defender) → Ghrazi rapier (+ defender) → Abyssal bludgeon → Dragon hunter lance (on crush). Also non-BGS’ers should bring extra BGS along with their Dragon warhammer
If you have the space, you can bring Inquisitor’s for Tekton, in this case use your Scythe on crush
● Vasa – Ghrazi rapier (+ defender) → Dragon hunter lance, Abyssal dagger or Zamorakian hasta. Dragon claws (optional)
● Guardians – Dragon pickaxe or any other equivalent (Crystal pickaxe does NOT have extra damage)
If you have the space, you can bring Inquisitor’s for Guardians
● Skeletal mystics* – Salve amulet (ei) (while blowpipe is brought to every raid, it should be noted that the blowpipe is used against Mystics because of its superior dps)
● Lizardman shamans – Sanfew serum or (pre-)antidote (both optional with Serpentine helm camp)
● Muttadiles – Freezes (1 person), ZGS (1 person; don’t bring this if you have Tekton after Muttadiles. Dedicated freezer should overload and freeze the big Muttadile as well)
● Vanguards – Freezes (1 person), Dragon claws (optional but very helpful)
● Vespula* – Extra restore for redemption method. Twisted bow → Sanguinesti staff/Trident of the swamp
● Ice demon – Fire surge runes, Tome of fire (replaces Arcane), Kodai wand/Harmonised staff (replaces Sanguinesti staff), Ancestral hat (all optional but in this order)
● Thieving – Lockpicks (can be brought on an alt account)
= if the raid does not contain any of the combat rooms noted with an asterisk, you can substitute the Armadyl pieces and Barrows gloves with Elite void ranged. If you don’t have elite void, keep using Armadyl or Blessed dragonhides. If you don’t range these bosses, you still bring Elite void ranged.
Advice/Info
Downgrades
● Main melee weapon: Scythe of vitur → Dragon hunter lance → Ghrazi rapier → Abyssal tentacle
● Main ranged weapon: Toxic blowpipe. Twisted bow → Dragon hunter crossbow with Dragon ruby bolts (e) → Armadyl/Dragon crossbow with Dragon diamond bolts (e) (trio or duo) or Dragon ruby bolts (e) (above trio)
Setup 1 advice
● Bandos tassets can be subbed out in non-Tekton or non-Guardian raids if you need more space.
● Ancestral hat can be subbed out as well if you need more space.
Setup 2 advice
● The axe and pickaxe is only used if your woodcutting and mining level is above your team’s average respectively
● You can use Veng other, Heal other, Spec transfer and even Potion share with the provided runes. If you can’t or don’t want to do this, you can choose to not bring them
● The Dragon warhammer can easily be substituted with a regular hammer.
● Twisted bow → Dragon hunter crossbow with Ruby bolts (e) → Toxic blowpipe
Gear progression
If your main focus is Chambers of Xeric, this gear progression is recommended (s/o to WDR discord):
Scouting
The main way to scout is to use a third party client that tells the rooms for you. An additional way to scout extra layouts is to use a custom client to reload the raid through fake disconnections. The use of these clients are at own risk, although the gain is minimal in teams.
The rooms you should do depends on your team composition. If you use alts, you should have as many “prescouters”, alt accounts that scout raids while you raid on the main account. The more prescouters you have, the more picky you can be with good layouts. Most 3c2p with crabs and tightrope should be done and 4c2p crab and rope are mostly done with any 4 of Vasa, Vespula, Muttadiles, Guardians, Lizardman Shamans and Skeletal Mystics.
