We look forward to seeing you then!

Here’s a sneak peek at our roadmap for the rest of the year and into early 2024!

Over the last few months, we’ve been working on something very exciting: Old School RuneScape’s first ever new skill!
Sailing is a new, open-world utility skill that lets you experience exciting new content only found at sea. It’s non-instanced, traditional MMO exploration at its finest, with an Old School RuneScape twist. Expand the vast world of Gielinor with new islands, creatures, and mysteries to uncover. Build and customise your own ship with upgrades and facilities that will let you explore ever more dangerous areas of the ocean. You’ve seen ships in Old School before – but for the first time, Sailing will let you captain a ship of your very own, command your NPC crew, and sail into uncharted waters…
Sailing could launch as early as 2024 – but to make that happen, we need YOU to cast your vote! In this blog, we’ll summarise everything we’ve spoken about so far so you have all the information you need to decide – should Sailing be Old School RuneScape’s first new skill?
Find out all you need to know before voting for Sailing in the Summer Summit Poll!

South of Mount Quidamortem, beyond the Stranglewood, lies a land filled with adventure and excitement. A region filled with new quests, new gameplay, and new places to explore. A shining kingdom formed by refugees fleeing Xeric’s age of strife over 1,000 years ago…
Old School’s next area expansion will take you to the Shining Kingdom of Varlamore, and open up a new region south of Kourend and Kebos.
We’re not just offering a new region jam-packed with delightful content – we’re offering answers to some of Old School RuneScape’s biggest questions. Whether you’re a lorehound, an avid PvMer, or a super skiller, Varlamore has something for you.
Find out more information in the Varlamore: The Shining Kingdom newspost.

You’ve been asking for more Leagues from the moment Leagues III: Shattered Relics ended – and it’s no secret which one has been your favourite so far!
So, we’ve decided to resurrect a classic League with a fresh lick of paint. Get ready for Leagues IV: Trailblazer Reloaded!
Trailblazer Reloaded is temporary gamemode where you’ll start as a completely fresh account, seperate from your main account. Initially, you’ll be area-locked to Misthalin, where all our journeys began. Just as before, you’ll be able to unlock other areas after completing tasks and accumulating points – but choose wisely, as you can only unlock three additional regions!
The more regions you have available, the more tasks you’ll be able to complete – and the more points you’ll get!
Whether you’re an avid Leagues Players or you didn’t play Trailblazer the first time around, you’re in for a real treat – and don’t worry, check out the Leagues IV: Trailblazer Reloaded newspost to get all the latest information!

This year’s Summer Summit is chock-full of massive projects to look forward to, but there’s a bunch of smaller bits ‘n’ pieces we’d love to introduce to Old School over the rest of the year too!
Originally released in late 2007, The Path of Glouphrie continues the popular Gnome storyline. Investigations into Glouphrie’s plans escalate when you discover that King Bolren has a new pet… has Glouphrie been watching the Tree Gnome Village, too? Despite launching after Old School’s backup, we were surprised to find that a mostly-complete version of Path of Glouphrie survives. This year we hope to share it with you once more! Much of the quest will be released as it once was, with some polish to meet the standards of modern Old School RuneScape.
From something you’ve seen before to something brand new… and actually, something without much detail to share at this stage. Something we’d like to greenlight nevertheless!
We want to develop an encounter that serves to give Old School’s budding brawlers confidence to get to grips with PvM and experience more of what the game has to offer. Exactly what this encounter might look like, and what rewards it might provide, are still to be decided – and we’ll need your help, of course! However, our initial thoughts are around making this encounter feel like a viable alternative to Nightmare Zone or various Crabs when it comes to earning combat XP and progressing your account.
Finally, Chambers of Xeric – Old School’s first ever raid – is nearly seven years old! The mark that it has left on Old School cannot be understated. It remains some of the most popular PvM action in the game, even after all these years.
All those years of enjoyment and experience have given us ample time to figure out what we love about it, and also what could stand to be improved a little. There are two topics we see time and time again: scouting and scaling and we’ll tackle these topics and poll them individually.

The apocalypse is almost upon us, and it’s time for you to steel yourselves as you prepare to dive into Deadman once more.
It’s been a little while since our initial announcement blog and our follow-up blog, where we answered some of your questions and responded to some initial feedback.
In our latest blog, we’d like to give you all of the specifics we’re able to share so that you feel ready and informed before starting your next Deadman journey. Make sure you’re up to speed on our previous blogs first, since they cover a lot of ground and detail many of our thought processes.
