Combat is a huge part of Old School RuneScape. As such, it is important for nearly every player to train it at least to some extent and others wish to excel at it.

The world of Gielinor is filled with monsters causing trouble and just asking to be slain. The only problem is that they are often not perfect for certain players.

Maybe they drop poor quality items, maybe they are extremely hard to put down, or are themselves extremely dangerous and while can be slain quickly, one misstep against them means respawning in Lumbridge.

Complete OSRS Sand Crabs Training Guide

This OSRS Sand Crab Training Guide will be focusing on the opposite – a monster that is easy to kill and should an attractive target for Combat training.

Sand Crab Training For Beginners

Sand Crabs are an extremely useful training method for players who need an AFK Combat training method whether because they are at work or training their alt while simultaneously engaging in an OSRS gold money making method with their main.

Sand Crabs are essentially damage sponges, having high Hitpoints for their level, but hitting very low. The absolute minimum, to be exact, as Sand Crab’s maximum hit is 1 HP.

That’s right.

You can engage a Sand Crab and go make yourself a sandwich without worrying that your character will kick the bucket. You can kill them with the worst gear you can imagine, but better gear equals better experience rates.

Zeah Sand Crabs are basically a stronger, or rather, healthier version of their cousins in Relekka, Rock Crabs. Just like their northern cousins, Sand Crabs are disguised as harmless rocks and are not visible on player’s minimap. The upside is that Sand Crabs are aggressive and will attack you themselves, rather than you having to turn every rock to check.

Sand Crabs will become unaggressive after about 10 minutes of exterminating them. To make them angry again, you will need to run about the distance of your minimap and return. Sand Crabs are scattered around the beach in southern Zeah and Crabclaw Isle, where you can find clusters of three or four Sand Crabs making those spots ideal to engage Sand Crabs.

Sand Crab’s maximum hit is 1, but if you’re planning to train for an extended period, you should still bring food. For those who are in for a whole marathon, there is a bank in the vicinity so you can always resupply.

As opposed to Rock Crabs, Sand Crabs cannot be attacked by dwarf multicannon.

OSRS King Sand Crab Guide

As befits royalty, King Sand Crabs are a head taller than their inferior brothers.

They are not a good target to AFK train Combat on because unlike their weakling subjects, they do have proper Combat stats. Do not let their similar looks deceive you for they are level 107 Combat as opposed to Sand Crabs that are level 15 Combat.

Overall, Sand Crabs are one of the best ways to AFK train your Combat level.

They are extremely forgiving to pures and as such, this method is one of the most attractive options for such accounts. Sand Crabs are in the pay-to-play area.
