Game Versions:
We’re aware that some iOS mobile players are unable to stay logged into Old School RuneScape.
Our initial investigations indicate that this may be linked to busy game servers, if you can’t stay logged in please try quieter worlds. If you are able to log in, using quieter areas in game may help, but disconnection and instability remain likely.
As we are already aware of this issue and are investigating it, there is no need to contact us.
We apologise for any inconvenience and will keep you updated as we know more.
Update: 5.07pm UTC 8 December:
The root cause of this issue has been identified and largely relates to busy footfall areas such as the GE. As unplanned disconnection remains possible, please avoid high risk or dangerous activities until the fix is launched.
- There will be a game update at 11am UTC on Thursday 9 December
- After the update, the issue should be resolved for everyone
App updates:
- iOS players – if you have not updated to the latest app version yet please DO NOT update your app until AFTER the game update
- Android players – an app update will be deployed around 9am UTC on Thursday 9 December and will become available to players at varying times, please update your app as soon as it is available to ensure you’re able to access the game after the game update
- Please note that if you update your Android app in the 2 hour period between app release and game update, you may experience some connection issues until the game update is live
