Strategy
Chopping
• When performing tendril skip, pray melee upon entry.
• Equip your tankiest gear with a mix or range and magic defence.
• As you enter, run straight to the tree. Don’t bother attacking.
• Once you have started chopping it will begin the 5-tick chop timer. Staff the Muttadile then chop again.
• Attacking the Muttadile won’t interrupt the cycle as long as you are back chopping when the timer expires.
• Staffthe Muttadile every 5 ticks whilst praying accordingly, optionally flicking mage prayer in between Baby’s attacks.
• Watch your health. It is possible to be stacked for ~80 damage in one tick.
• If the tree is cutting fast, switch to blowpipe early to get Muttadile ready faster.
• If Muttadile can reset with a staff hit, switch to weapon with a lower max hit to get it lower (e.g mace).
• Be careful venging while chopping, as it could trigger Muttadile to heal if it pops.
• Wear occult until Muttadlie is close to resetting. Equip blood fury for defence at this point, then equip occult again for dps after the tree is dead.
Baby Muttadile
• Attack from melee range and continually step under between your attacks to stay in melee range to avoid the most damage.
• Claw spec once to kill the baby muttadile.
• Take the overload and enhance and quickly run to the lake safespot:
• Kodai potion can be useful for staying 120 Magic.
Big Muttadile
• There are four safe tiles at the lake, but the easternmost corner one is preferred to minimize the likelihood of Muttadile making its way around it.
• Due to the loading line that usually occurs on that tile, it is recommended to do your first hit one tile off (West) as shown above.
• Simply tbow it, flicking defensive items between attacks, while doing Brew-Twisted, brewing every 15s, and venging.
• If Muttadile is making its way around the corner, don’t panic. When it’s one tile off, anticipate it walking around by hovering over melee prayer. It always moves one tick before it attacks. If it made it around, pray melee and get ready to tick eat the attack. At the same time, run West and then pray range again. Tick eat again if necessary.
