Ecumenical key/Strategies Guide – OSRS

Overview

Ecumenical keys are used to immediately enter any boss room of the main God Wars Dungeon and skip follower kill count needed to enter. They can only be obtained from any monster in the Wilderness God Wars Dungeon. Like the main dungeon, the Wilderness God Wars Dungeon requires either Strength 60 Strength or Agility 60 Agility to enter.

Every monster drops keys at a 1/60 rate, which increases to 1/55, 1/50, 1/45, and 1/40 after obtaining rewards of the hard, elite, master, and grandmaster Combat Achievements, respectively.

Note that players can only carry a few keys at a time; players can initially carry three, but the limit increases to four and five after completing the medium and hard Wilderness Diary, respectively. Attempting to collect a key beyond one’s limit will result in the key being deleted.

The Wilderness God Wars Dungeon still counts as the Wilderness and is a potential area for player killers to ambush others. Do not bring any items that you are not willing to lose.

Equipment

All monsters in the Wilderness God Wars Dungeon act the same as they would in the main dungeon; as long as the player has an item devoted to each of their gods equipped, they will remain passive. Because this is in the Wilderness, players need to bring god-specific items which they can easily reclaim when killed by another player.

If bringing several pieces of expensive items it is strongly recommended to check your items kept on death before heading out. The dungeon is roughly within level 28 wilderness, so only teleports up to level 30 will work. Bringing a Royal seed pod is strongly recommended to leave and escape potential player killers before being teleblocked.

The lowest risk strategy is ranging the weakest minions while wearing the cheapest god items available. The weakest are imps, goblins, and icefiends. Occasionally you can kill the stronger minions when they are low on health.

For the Bandos item you can choose which one you prefer.

Inventory

  • Royal seed pod to teleport in up to level 30 Wilderness.
  • A House teleport tablet.
  • A Ranged potion to boost your ranged level.
  • A Stamina potion for movement and getting away.
  • A couple of free spaces for picking up keys.
  • The rest is Blighted karambwans or another type of food.

A faster method is blood barraging the minions in the middle of the Wilderness god wars dungeon. This strategy is riskier than the ranged strategy because you bring runes and more expensive supplies. It is advised to pray protect from magic and augury. Be careful not to accidentally skull on other players.

  1. The minions of Armadyl are too far away to barrage. Therefore they would only be dealing damage to you.
  2. When using a god cape make sure to use the Guthix variant as you need the minions of Saradomin and Zamorak to attack you.

  • Runes for about 200 casts of blood barrage.
