Dragon Slayer 2 is the sequel quest to the infamous Dragon Slayer quest. While the original is a free-to-play quest, the sequel is not and as such only members can complete it. The quest is long and considered to be one of the hardest, but both the lore and the rewards are excellent.
Background
While completing the quest it is important to understand the lore behind it and what the situation is as you begin the quest. Obviously if you don’t care about the story and simply want the rewards you have no need for this section.
Crandor was once home to a mighty and important city off the coast of Karamja. It was an influential seafaring city with a volcano at the middle of the island.
One day, the city came under the attack of the dragon that lived in the volcano, Elvarg, and the entire city was destroyed. Only three survived the dragons assault on the island, the wizards Thalzar, Lozar, and Melzar.
During the Dragon Slayer quest, the adventurer is tasked with finding and slaying the dragon Elvarg. In order to defeat Elvarg, the player will have to find a route to Crandor, a boat to sail there, and a method to protect themselves from dragonfire.
The method of protection from dragonfire was given to the player by Duke Horacio in the form of the anti-dragon shield.
Thalzar, Lozar, and Melzar each hid there map pieces behind different challenges which were completed by the adventurer and the map was assembled. Finally, an old Crandorian ship was bought and repaired by the player. They sailed to Crandor and slayed the fierce dragon.
Leading up to Dragon Slayer 2, Dallas Jones has done extensive research into dragons and wishes to delve further into their research with the Hero of Crandor.

The Guide
First Step
The legendary journey begins at the Myths Guild. Talk to the person outside about joining and he will direct you to talk to Dallas Jones. Jones will want your assistance in investigating Elvarg, the villain in Dragon Slayer 1.
After travelling to her former lair, you discover an ancient laboratory. Inspecting the machinery within the laboratory will lead to you acquiring some notes, after that inspect the mural nearby.
Upon inspecting the mural a level 100 spawn will come out of a nearby egg. Once you defeat it inspect the mural again and you will notice the word Lithkren. Jones recalls a building on fossil island that mentioned Lithkren and asks you to meet him there.
House On The Hill
The House on the Hill is a former dragonkin fortress. Your task in the house will be to rebuild a map of Fossil Island. The map pieces are scattered around the House and there are 24 of them.
5 are in the chest on the same floor as you, three are in the chest on the top floor, seven are in the briar behind the house, five are in the mushtree east of the house, and four are in the fungi next to the staircase.
Once you assemble the pieces and give them to Dallas you will need to move the pieces around until they create a legible map. After this you will construct a boat to get to Lithkren.
Talk to Jardric to acquire a boat and you will be told to build one yourself. Acquire eight oak planks, 10 swamp paste, and 12 nails in order to construct it. Head west of the Mushroom Forest to construct your rowboat.
Lithkren
Once you have completed your boat, board it and traverse to the island of Lithkren. Head north and climb the stairs to find a trapdoor and climb down. Dallas will be at the bottom trying to open a pair of dorms.
By searching a burnt skeleton nearby you will find a clue to open the door. Your next task will be to find Bob the Cat, who is Robert the Strong reincarnated.
Bob The Cat
Bob is a wandering soul, so finding him may prove difficult. If you have your catspeak amulet(e) you can utilize the dial to find the direction Bob is in. Alternatively, you could stand by the anvils in West Varrock and hop worlds until you see him.
Once you find him you ask about his past life as Robert the Strong, which he has no recollection of. Take Bob to Sophanem to speak to the Sphinx. The Sphinx will tell the player that they cannot help, but thankfully the player met somebody else in their adventures who can help.
The Oneiromancer on Lunar isle is the key to restoring Bobs memories.
Robert The Strong
Travel to Lunar Isle and find the Oneiromancer. Create a dream potion and light the brazier west of the Oneiromancer before pouring the dream potion on it.
Inside the dream you will battle Robert the Strong, a level 224 ranger. He is a strong opponent and can strike through ranged prayers. Once you defeat him Bobs memories will be restored and he will recall the details of the Dragon key.
Assembling The Dragon Key
Robert and his allies hid pieces of the Dragon Key around Gielinor. With Bob now remembering each of the locations, the player can finally assemble the key pieces.
- Karamja Piece
- Bob hid a key piece in the Karmajan Temple in the Kharazi Jungle. Navigate the treacherous maze and at the center you will find the key piece.
- Morytania Piece
- Bob informs you that Tristan kept his own piece of the key. Investigate census records in the Varrock library with Reldo in order to identify where he lived. You will find that he settled in Port Phasmatys and his descendants still live there. His descendants refuse to share where in the swamp they hid it, so you will need Ava to create a device to find the key. She will make you a locator orb which you will use in the Mort Myre Swamp to find this key piece.
- Ungael Piece
- The most challenging piece to acquire is the Ungael piece. It is guarded by the dangerous dragon Vorkath, who is a difficult dragon to defeat. Bringing venom and dragonfire protection is critical to defeating him in combat. After destroying Vorkath head into a dragonkin laboratory and pull a lever in the south west corner of it. It will unlock a room containing a key piece and an ancient key.
- Kourend Piece
- Travel to the Arceuus Library and talk to Archeio to teleport to the historical archive. Afterwards talk to Imerominia about Camorras key. From there you will want to walk to Amelia of Shayzien. You discover the final key piece is in the Shayzien Crypts. Delve deep into the crypts to find the key piece.
Reforge The Key
To reforge the Dragon Key utilizing the four pieces, head to the ancient cavern. You will have to complete a puzzle by casting fire wave on three dragon headed structures and then using the pieces on a nearby anvil. Finally, with the Dragon Key rebuilt, travel back to Lithkren and open the door.
The Ultimate Weapon
Upon entering the Dragon door the player will discover Galvek and the Dragonkin Zorgoth. Zorgoth goes on a spiel about the experiments the Dragonkin completed in an attempt to fight back against humanity, including Elvarg. He declares all previous experiments failures and reveals that Galvek is the perfect weapon against humanity.
Galvek will attack the group, killing Dallas and narrowly missing you and Bob. Another war with the dragons has begun.
Calling Allies
It will take all of the human kingdoms in order to defeat this dragon force. First, head to Varrock castle and tell King Roald of your plight. He will believe you and direct you to call Ardougne, Falador, and Rellekka to arms.
Travel to those three places and talk to their leaders, and they will commit support. Return to Varrock castle and attend the meeting of the world leaders.
You discover the dragons are gathering on Ungael, and each of the kingdoms has decided to launch an invasion of it.
Invading The Dragonkin Fortress
Head to Rellekka and join the invasion fleet. The fleet will depart and the Dragonkin will send a dragon army to fight the fleet. There are several checkpoints during the invasion as different events occur. Events include repairing a ship and dragons landing to battle the player and their allies.
Eventually Zorgoth and Galvek engage in battle with you. They board the Varrock grand ship and kill the guards along with Bob the Cat. You will have to kill a variety of metallic dragons before eventually fighting Galvek.
It is a complex and difficult fight and it will take all of your skill to defeat him. Once you defeat Galvek, he tries to fire a fireball at you which is misdirected and destroys Zorgoth.
Once the invasion is complete you head to Burthorpe to mourn Bob’s death. Afterwards travel to the Myths’ Guild and talk to Alec once again. You are now a member of the Myths’ Guild!
