Deadman: All Stars Season 2 was the second season of an invite-only variant of Deadman Mode that runs from 30 May 2025 until 8 June 2025. As with the first edition of Deadman: All Stars, it was hosted and spearheaded by content creator Solo Mission, in collaboration with Jagex. 30 content creators, drafted into 6 teams of 5 members each, participated in this event.

The finale was streamed live on the official Old School Runescape Twitch channel starting at 16:00 UTC on 8 June 2025, with the winners receiving Deadman: All Stars Season 2 trophies and a guaranteed invite to future events.[1]

After an elimination bracket, the SoloMission Snakes won in a best-of-three against the Dino Nuggets.

Format

Starting with fresh accounts, each team had 8 days, from May 30 at 12:00 UTC to June 7 at 17:00 UTC, to build accounts on a private world, modeled primarily after Deadman: Armageddon. Competitors were limited to 120 hours total playtime each, working out to about 14 hours a day. They used the gear earned throughout the week to fight in the finale on June 8.

In the finale, each team faced off 1v1 in a continuous battle, with a new teammate stepping in when their previous teammate died, until a team was entirely defeated. Teammates could not share supplies or gear during the finale, and looting other players’ gear was not allowed. Competitors were seeded in reverse order based on performance.

Teams competed in a group stage bracket, seeded based on 50% player kills, 25% deaths to other players, and 25% combined team combat level. The top two teams from each group competed in the semifinals, with the winners competing in the final, which was a best of 3.

Mechanics

All contestants initially spawned at the Grand Exchange, with Monkey Madness I, King’s Ransom, and Legends’ Quest autocompleted. Experience gained was boosted by x15 and drop rates by x6. Contestants did not have access to the Grand Exchange, but could trade with other players or PK opponents for drops.

Game mechanics functioned similarly to Deadman: Armageddon, with some tweaks compared to that gamemode and the previous season of Deadman: All Stars. Sigils were enabled and were dropped by any monster outside of safe zones. Tier I sigils could also be received from daily starter packs. Sigils were untradeable, meaning they could only be used by the account that receives the drop. For game balance, the sigil of resilience, the well-fed, and the food master were banned for the finale, as well as the trinket of vengeance, the lunar and Arceuus spellbooks, phoenix necklaces, and any other non-PvP source of healing such as barbarian mixes or purple sweets.

As with the first season of All Stars, a single breach spawned once a day at 19:00 UTC and spawned various boss monsters that have the chance to drop supplies and weapons. In season 2, breaches lasted for 20 minutes and spawned at the set locations seen below, all in multicombat areas. Attacking any breach monster also skulled the player. King Black Dragon and Kree’arra were removed from the pool of breach monsters, and TzTok-Jad’s hitpoints were reduced to 1000.

Number Date Location
1 30 May South-east of zombie pirates
2 31 May Mor Ul Rek
3 1 June Annakarl
4 2 June Ape Atoll
5 3 June North-west of the chaos temple
6 4 June East of the Colossal Wyrm Agility Course
7 5 June North of Vet’ion entrance
8 6 June South of Rogues’ Castle

PJ timers were modified for All Stars. Usually, when a player is in combat with a monster, another player can’t attack them as long as they are in combat. During this mode, any player could attack another player even if they were currently in combat with a monster. Unskulled players also faced a 7 second countdown timer before being able to log off or teleport away.

The emblem trader also saw a significant change during the mode. They stocked the trinket of undead, fairies, and vengeance, alongside the dexterous and arcane prayer scrolls. The prices were as listed below in archaic points (earned by turning in archaic emblems):

Item Cost
1,000,000
1,000,000
1,000,000
5,000,000
5,000,000

Finale

Any gear obtained during the week prior to the finale was allowed to be used. However, supplies were predetermined for all competitors. Starting with a base of 9 anglerfish and 2 Saradomin brews, players gained food for successful player kills (1 additional anglerfish for each of the first 3 kills, and an upgrade to a Saradomin brew for the 5th, 8th, and 12th kills) and lost food when dying to another player (1 less anglerfish for each of the first 3 deaths, as well as the 5th, 7th, and 9th deaths). This was calculated per player, not per team.

Rules

Official rules could be found on the official Deadman: All Stars Season 2 website.

Rules included:

  • Competitor play time must not exceed 120 hours total during the competition week.
  • Competitors must wear team boots at all times.
  • Competitors must not collude with any other teams, including: trading, purposefully dying, spying and leaking, and pre-meditated co-targeting other opponents.
  • Competitors must not grief other teams from loot, including: running to a safezone when skulled, alching items, storing items in PvM gravestones, or dropping.
  • Competitors must not purposefully die to NPCs or x-log when in combat with NPCs to avoid PvP combat.
  • Competitors must avoid gaining Live Advantages to the best of their ability.

Failure to abide by these rules could cause yellow or red cards to be given out. Three yellow cards would add up to one red card, and a red card would remove one hard food from the competitor in the finale.

Other discretionary penalties could have been applied, depending on rule breaking.
